$100.00 USD

This is a chrysocolla (teal), shattuchite (dark blue), and tenorite (black) cabochon (stone piece) that I wire wrapped by hand in 20 and 22 gauge sterling silver. The ring is adjustable.

This stone comes from the Mount Shannon Copper Company mining claim, 10 miles North of the town of Morenci, AZ. The rock hound I got the cabochon from has permission to dig there. This particular mine is one of the original Boyce Thompson claims. (For you AZ natives, think the Boyce Thompson Arboretum.) By the time the rock hound got to the site, he found the mine was throwing this beautiful stone into the copper kiln as flux. He found a vein of about 30 feet, and saved it from the furnace. This is one of the last pieces of it available from this area.

The cabochon measures 1 inch tall by 3/4 of an inch wide.

This piece is the second ring I have made. It is very comfortable, as the wrap around the band is tight, it doesn't pinch.

The price of the ring reflects the cost of the cabochon as well as the price of silver.
